艾米丽Loesser

艾米丽Loesser has appeared in TV, 电影, 和 theatrical productions on Broadway, New York City Opera, The Kennedy Center, 卡内基音乐厅, Off-Broadway 和 in regional houses across the country. She played Kate Mullins in the Tony Award winning TITANIC on Broadway 和 the title role in the concert presentation of TIP TOES at 卡内基音乐厅. Internationally, she appeared in concert playing Julie Jordan in CAROUSEL 和 Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS (Royal Festival Hall, 伦敦.) She created the role of Stiffy Bing in the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical BY JEEVES on Broadway. She also performed the role at The Kennedy Center, the Goodspeed Opera House, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, as well as the subsequent 电影 version. Emily appeared in the Off Broadway musical SWINGTIME CANTEEN, played Linda in HOLIDAY at the Court Theater in Los Angeles, 和 starred in the “lost” Gershwin musical STRIKE UP THE BAND at Goodspeed Opera House. 在那之前, she played the title role of “Yiddle” in YIDDLE WITH THE FIDDLE at Town Hall in New York 和 Los Angeles. She starred as Liesl in the New York City Opera production (和 subsequent tour) of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, starring Debby Boone, 和 appeared as Mirele in THE WITCH for the Jewish Repertory Theater, each of which earned her Outer Critics Circle Award nominations in the same season. She made her Off Broadway debut opposite her mother, Jo Sullivan Loesser, in the musical revue TOGETHER AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME. They appeared together 和 with her husb和, actor Don Stephenson, in numerous concerts, club engagements, 和 on recordings, most notably LOESSER BY LOESSSER, for DRG records 和 the first complete recording of GUYS AND DOLLS (Jay records).  Emily can also be heard on the recordings LOST IN BOSTON, UNSUNG IRVING BERLIN, SWINGTIME CANTEEN, TIPTOES 和 THE MOST HAPPY FELLA. Favorite regional performances include Nellie in SOUTH PACIFIC at American Music Theater of San Jose 和 in MEET ME IN ST LOUIS at the MUNY.  Other credits include multiple appearances in Law 和 Order, Law 和 Order SVU, as well as 电影 和 commercials. For over 20 years, Emily has promoted the works of her father, legendary composer, 弗兰克•罗瑟, supervising revivals of all Loesser’s major works as well as the use of songs in major 电影s, television productions 和 commercials. Emily is the co- writer of the new musical “Paperboy,” which is currently in development. She is a licensed 和 practicing speech language pathologist 和 speech teacher in NY City Schools, where she has developed student skills in the areas of speech improvement, 清晰度, 流利, 和 expressive 和 receptive language.
